Debbie Gibson started her career as a child in musical theater, successfully segued into a multi-platinum pop career and has an in-depth knowledge of what it means to connect with a song. Whether it’s in the pop genre, musical theater, country, rock, or any style imaginable, the combination of a strong vocal technique and an emotional connection are at the heart of any great performance. Above all else, the audience wants to be moved. Come and bring your best to this lively and interactive experience and leave with new techniques to discover the deeper meaning of your favorite performance song and how to deliver it! If you are a budding songwriter and want to work on an original, Debbie will help you hone the performance of whatever song you want to work on!
One of Debbie’s passions is mentoring young, up and coming singers and performers. She has produced many workshops around the country and is excited to bring this once in a lifetime, “real world,” week-long music camp to The Garry Marshall Theatre, located at 4252 W Riverside Drive, Burbank, CA 91505.

🎤 Showcase Day Performance. Be seen by Agents, Managers and Talent producers from shows like “American Idol” and “America’s Got Talent.” Parents welcome to attend to see their child perform during the designated time slot. Attendance is not a guarantee of employment or representation.
Online Audition Submission Process for Platinum Experience: Email a video of any length, singing acapella (without musical accompaniment) or singing to a karaoke/background track or accompanying yourself on an instrument. Before singing, please say your name, age and reason for wanting to attend this camp, so our team can get a sense of how passionate you are about music. This counts more than skill level. Send video submissions to DebbieGibsonsElectricYouth@gmail.com by May 9 for early enrollment. Final deadline submission is June 9.
The total fee for the week-long music camp and one-on-one training with Debbie Gibson is $1500, per singer. We are currently offering an early enrollment of $1250. Video submission deadline for early enrollment is May 9. Final payment is due by June 9, 2018. To offer the most one-on-one time for each student, there are a limited number of students being accepted for the Platinum Experience. Once accepted, a deposit of $500 is required via credit card. No refunds, once deposit is made.

Ray Garcia has been in the entertainment business for over 35 years. Both as a performer and a choreographer. He lives in Los Angeles and has performed all over the world. Some of his favorite credits as a performer include Life Without Makeup starring Rita Moreno at Berkeley Rep., Rent on Broadway as Angel and other roles, Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby, The Ten Commandments with Val Kilmer in Los Angeles, Damn Yankees directed by Jason Alexander, Pippin, La Cage Aux Folles as Hanna and Annie Get Your Gun as Tommy Keeler. Ray lived in Rome, Italy for 3 years and has danced on Italy’s most popular TV show, Fantastico and played the role of Daddy in the all Italian version of Sweet Charity. He can also be seen in the independent film Neverland, as well as the feature film Rent, Desperate Housewives and most recently, Jane the Virgin. Choreography credits include Universal Studios in Hollywood, Florida and Japan. Billy Purnell is one of Southern California’s most sought after voice teachers, and his list of clients includes major label stars, Disney and Nickelodeon stars, Broadway actors, touring groups, worship leaders, voice teachers and other professional voice users. He is the creator of the “Ultimate Voice Training for Singers” course – one of the longest-selling home study courses on the Internet – which has sold in over 75 countries around the world. Billy has taught private lessons and workshops around the globe for the past 30 years. Garry Marshall Theatre is a nonprofit organization providing innovative performances, educational opportunities, and storytelling activities for all ages, year-round.
