She’s pretty much grown up in the spotlight, and Deborah Gibson is all about giving back to aspiring child performers. And earlier today she was spotted hamming it up at the Times Square Planet Hollywood.
The “Only in My Dreams” songstress promoted her elite performing arts camp Deborah Gibson’s Electric Youth with a handprint ceremony at the Manhattan restaurant.
According to a report, Gibson’s passion to mentor and foster young performers and songwriters was the impetus behind her developing the arts camp which opened this past July.
Herself a successful singer/songwriter/actress, Deborah has starred in many Broadway shows including “Les Miserables,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Gypsy,” and “Cabaret,” as well as holding the Guinness World Record for being the youngest person ever to write, produce, and perform a number one single (“Foolish Beat”).
