As the world focuses on the power of community, I wanted to shine a light on the 4th anniversary of one of the most incredible groups of people you ever come to know. The Diamond Debheads, my official community. A modern day “fan club” if you will. I rarely use the word “fan” as these beautiful souls are so much more than “fanatics” of my pop culture persona. These are people who show up unconditionally for me and each other, and who connected originally through their love of my music, but, represent and function independently out in the world, spreading kindness, forging, friendships, and lifting up everyone who they encounter. That is the spirit of being a diamond . Yes there are perks that you can look into but this is not an advertisement. If you are called to be a Diamond, you will do the research and find out all the fantastic things you get but the main thing you get is ….friends. Friends that are not Fair-weather. Friends who walk their walk and are inclusive and protective and loyal. They have taken the messages that are in my songs into their hearts and into their daily lives to shift energy. I thought my legacy was the music itself … till I met my Diamonds and now I realize that the thing I am most proud of in this lifetime is …them. My little army of people of all generations from kids to grandparents. Not only “children of the 80s” though there are many who grew up with me. We grew up together. And many younger diamonds discovered me along the way and are here in our multi-generational international crew of everyone identifying as their authentic selves. We celebrate each other daily. They travel the world to support me in concert and when they can’t they virtually send me energy on social media and send messages through other Diamonds ….I take it all in and none of it is wasted on me. They’re currently supporting my fire mission. I’m so grateful. And being the fearless leader of my Diamonds is my absolute honour. I always hope I can do them proud as they do me proud every day. I love you my Diamonds ! We’ve covered so much ground together. Here’s to the happiest years!
