I didn’t realize that you were a sponsor for Children International, Deb. I found out about them 19 years ago through a t.v. ad and felt compelled to do something. I’m on my third child. Her name is Mansi and she lives in India. I haven’t visited my sponsored kids like you have, but it’s nice to know my contributions have helped make a difference in the lives of these children. I keep the latest picture of my child on my refrigerator, so I can see her as she gets older. This picture is particularly special because she’s smiling in the photo. In all the previous photos of my sponsored children, they never smiled. It’s also nice to get a hand written letter and a drawing from her every now and then. I think it’s wonderful that you’re helping spread awareness of the poverty that exists in this world and that people like you and me can help by sponsoring a child. Keep up the good work, Deb!
