Debbie talks to Baltimore Gay Life about Hooplaha

It is often said that smiling is contagious. The adage is one that singer-songwriter and actress Debbie Gibson has probably heard a lot in her career. As one of the most prominent voices of the late ’80s teen pop landscape, Gibson has been making people smile for a quarter of a century.

Gibson was recently named as the first celebrity brand ambassador for HooplaHa.com, a video content and digital media community with a mission to “change the world, one inspiration at a time.” The website promises to deliver daily doses of positive and inspiring video and text stories. For her part, Gibson will present monthly video updates on a score of topics, from mentoring future songwriters to her many philanthropic endeavors.
