  • Hopefully it’ll win. Honestly, not familiar with the rest of the songs except for the one for “Tangled”, which was forgettable. (good movie though)

  • I mean, it could be among the 5 or whatever songs that are nominated.

  • CONGRATS ON YOUR SONG BEING NOMINATED ,DEB!!!!!!

  • I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANT “RISE” BY DEBBIE GIBSON TO WIN

  • Goodluck to ‘Rise’ !

  • “Rise” — http://www.youtube.com/3BillionAndCounting — is a beautiful
song. It is a song of Reality. It is a song which stirs the heart, one
inspired by Love and a deep sense of compassion for the suffering of
    others.

It’s time that songs like this get nominated, because they can make a
difference to the whole world. The movie “3 Billion And Counting”, to
which “Rise” is the theme, has the potential to bring an end to the
needless tragedy of malaria. At any time, 500 million people suffer
from this debilitating disease, and 3000 kids in Africa die every day
    — yet a simple, cheap solution to the problem is available.

We have to cherish and give recognition and appreciation to artists
and their work aimed at service to mankind, aimed at creating change

in people’s lives. True art has the power to transform and change
people and events. It is alive. It does not stay confined to theatres,
    cinemas or recording studios.

“Rise” stands out as a song of change. We as an audience do not want
any more sugar — we want Fire. And this song is full of it — full of
passion and compassion, a call to Wake up to Love.
